In the sprawling capital city of Tenebris, the youngest of the three kingdoms, the spirit of exploration and expansion burns bright. Beyond the shifting sands of the desert, a new world beckons, ripe for the taking, and the human empire has set its sights on securing new territories to ensure its dominance. To aid in this endeavor, the Adventurer’s Guild was founded in the hopes of drawing men and women of all stripes, from commoners to nobles, united in their desire to use their military training to expand the empire’s reach and carve out their own slice of the pie.
This has given rise to a diverse upper class in the third kingdom, one that stands in stark contrast to the more homogenous nobility of the older kingdoms. This has led to a growing divide between Tenebris and the rest of the empire, a political schism that threatens to undermine the unity of the human realm. Despite these tensions, however, the third kingdom remains a powerful force in the empire, driven by the promise of untold riches and vast, uncharted territories waiting to be claimed. And even the most traditionalist of the older nobles recognize the economic benefits of continued expansion, putting aside their differences with their Tenebran counterparts for the greater good of the realm.
