Little is known about the grand forest that stretches northward beyond Azeita’s Wall, other than that it is the home of an innumerable count of manifold Beastkin. Even the scope of its proclaimed grandiosity may just be the mere exaggeration of hearsay. This wilderness frontier, wrapped in a shroud of mystique, has long-since suppressed the Human Empire, ever-resilient to its efforts to glimpse into its treeline, for each attempt to settle into it has ended in catastrophe. Although centuries of growing knowledge and strength have contributed, little more than the edges of its domain have been explored by primarily experienced slaver guilds. 

As elusive as the mysteries abundant within its depths are, equally curious is the name humanity itself has given it. A title born before even the empire, it is a name that has persisted for as long as recollection can recite. Some theorize it may originate from the Beastkin, exchanged in early communication efforts with them, however no evidence to support this probability has ever been uncovered. While scholars fail to decipher its exact roots and meaning, it remains yet another question mark in the land’s unclear list of secrets.
