Few living creatures can survive such high altitudes, struggling for warmth in the stark cold and for the smallest breaths of oxygen. Those who live here have adapted to feed off of and utilize the mana the mountains appear to exude to aid their survival.

Despite these harsh conditions, many nations have found it difficult to forgo their expeditions into the mountains, allured by the abundant minerals and crystallized mana they continue excavating. Networks of large cave systems run deep throughout the mountains. While some appear to have been carved out haphazardly by nature, others exhibit unnaturally delicate craftsmanship.

“I can hear the cold, I can hear it whisper.”
