Smithing is a time-honored practice amongst the dwarves, and their legendary skill is renowned throughout the lands.

Even those dwarves who do not specialize in smithing can craft items of unparalleled quality, and those who devote their centuries-long lives to the forge are capable of creating weapons, tools, and armor of legendary caliber. However, the dwarves of Ironbrim take their responsibility as master craftsmen seriously, and they do not export any crafts of war.

They are determined not to supply other civilizations with tools that would enable them to wage unfair wars on others. To obtain an item of dwarven craftsmanship, one must journey to the mountains and request it from a smith themselves, as did the first king of the Human Empire long ago.
