General Questions

Yes, a Book II has been confirmed and is currently in development. However, its release is still a ways off and is slated for one or two years into the future. Our main focus is on perfecting and marketing the first book, alongside creating short stories and developing a few side stories. Our long-term goal for the series is to have a total of five books, though we recognize that this will take some time to accomplish.

Our main focus remains on continuing the main high-fantasy novel series while expanding the world through short stories and side narratives. We do plan to release additional series set within the same universe, possibly exploring different timelines—such as 100 years in the past or future—but this is not a priority at the moment.

In the future, we may branch into other genres like Dungeon Break, LitRPG, Regression, Wuxia/Xianxia, Villainess stories, Kingdom-Building Progression Fantasy, Romance Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, and even eSports-themed MMO books (yes, we’re hitting all modern fantasy tropes), but those are plans for further down the road.

There isn’t an audiobook just yet, but we do plan to create one in the future! We also hope to release short stories and other works with audio transcriptions down the line.

To maintain engagement with our audience, we will regularly update the website with blog posts featuring upcoming events, new content for both authors and readers, and the release of short stories and novellas. As we continue to expand the universe, we also plan to introduce art galleries, character cards, and additional locations for our audience to explore and enjoy.

This book—and the world behind it—is part of something much bigger than a single series. Our goal is to build an entire universe. As authors, programmers, and game designers, we aim to create a multi-format IP that extends far beyond the page. After all, the barrier to world creation has never been lower in history. This book is just the first step.

From here, we plan to expand into a full five-book series, followed by a manga/manhwa adaptation, and eventually a large-scale video game (or an indie game that grows into one.) Because of that vision, the way we’ve structured the world, and how you experience it, may feel a little different from traditional or indie published books.

A few readers have asked whether our book will be available on Amazon or through Kindle Unlimited (so it can be read for free). The short answer is: yes and no.

Our book will eventually be available for purchase on Amazon, but it will not be added to the Kindle Unlimited ecosystem. The reason is simple—many of our readers have already purchased the book directly from our website, and we believe it would be unfair to offer it free to read on Amazon afterward. We also have larger long-term plans for the series that extend beyond the Kindle Unlimited program.

That said, side stories, short stories, or collections may be released through Amazon and Kindle Unlimited in the future. But for now and the future, the main five book series will remain exclusively available through our website.

The main novel series contains minor levels of profanity and violence. Other works may vary in the levels of content, topics, and themes presented, with some works being child-friendly, others including profanity and/or mature themes, and others including more explicitly adult themes. A content advisory will be provided for short stories on the website, and anything explicitly adult will require age verification.

Stay informed on the latest updates by subscribing to our weekly newsletter. You’ll receive news on book signings, upcoming events, short story releases, merchandise drops, and all things related to the world we’re building. Additionally, we will be implementing blog updates directly on the website, so be sure to check back for that section every now and then.

Patreon members will receive exclusive early access to short stories and artwork before they are publicly released on the website. Special collaborations may be available exclusively to Patrons, and certain tiers may include additional perks such as detailed character information, exclusive Q&A sessions, and writing feedback and reviews.

We will also offer guides on book writing and marketing, as well as opportunities for special collaborations with the authors based on membership duration. As we continue to grow, we will be adding more benefits to our tiers, and members can cancel at any time with no hassle.

We’ll let you know once we’ve got one in the works (we haven’t started yet), but hey, it’s bound to be good, right?

While we recognize the growing role of AI in creative industries, and as programmers and writers ourselves (interesting combo), we’re open to innovation and change quicker than most, we also understand that true storytelling requires human creativity which cannot be replicated by clankers. For that reason, we do not use AI generate, draft, or creatively assist in the writing of our commercial works. Every idea, scene, and line originates from us or on recommendations from our editors.

While we’ll use tools like Grammarly for grammar checks and correct sentence structure, which may incorporate AI in their underlying algorithm (it’s nearly unavoidable nowadays), that’s the full capacity of the tools we use. Beyond that, no AI was involved in the creative process of the Asteria book series or the World of Asteria. Every character, storyline, plot, and element of worldbuilding was carefully outlined and drafted over four years ago, long before AI tools came into existence.

We also get asked if our artwork is AI-generated. Funnily enough, it’s actually the other way around: AI pulls from the very artists we collaborate with. That’s why we’re proud to say we have a dedicated art team, working directly with top-tier artists and concept designers from the industry, including those who have contributed to AAA fantasy worlds like League of Legends, Diablo, Dungeons and Dragons, Hearthstone, and more.

The only AI-generated art on our website serves as temporary placeholders—such as in select blog posts or short story panels—and will be replaced with original artwork from professional artists in the future, as our project continues to grow. These blog posts and stories are entirely free to read and not monetized, so their inclusion does not impact the quality of your experience. If any of these short stories are ever adapted into a published collection or expanded into a full book, all accompanying artwork, writing, and related materials will be created exclusively by humans.

As we continue to grow, we’re committed to collaborating with artists of all styles to bring our vision to life just as we originally imagined it. Your support enables writers like us and the artists we work with to keep creating work without the fear of being displaced by AI.

All commercial works, including the book, its art gallery, and the detailed world map, are created in collaboration with skilled artists who produce their work entirely without AI assistance.

At the moment, we’re not actively planning to attend or host any events, signings, or conventions. Our focus is on hiring new talent, expanding the brand and business and writing more cool stuff. However, once we do decide to plan a book signing or other event, our subscribers will be the first to receive the news.

Although there are no current plans to offer editorial work, it’s possible that things may shift in the future.

OTHER INQUIRIES

You can purchase the book directly on our website, or through affiliate platforms in the future like Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble, BookBub, and Apple Read. Please note that digital pricing may vary depending on the fees and charges of each platform, but our website typically offers the best deals. Additionally, physical copies are only available through our website, while other sites will only offer the digital version.

Right now, we’re focused on keeping complete control over the quality of every book we ship. That’s why physical copies are sold exclusively through our website. In the future, we may release the digital edition on platforms like Amazon or Barnes & Noble, but for now, every physical product can only be found here.

And to be clear—our book will not be placed on Kindle Unlimited. When you purchase from us, you can be confident your support directly goes into the book and its future, without being devalued or diluted later on.

We accept all major payment methods, including Visa, Mastercard, credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, PayPal, and Venmo. While we do not currently support Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), or other cryptocurrencies through our website, this may change in the future. If you wish to purchase the book using cryptocurrency, please contact us at support@worldasteria.com for assistance.

Yes, we offer promotions and discounts from time to time. These are typically available to individuals through special offers, or as a benefit for our Patreon members. To stay updated on the latest deals, we recommend following our website, newsletter, and (future) Patreon page, as we occasionally send out exclusive discounts and early access to offers.

Orders are expected to arrive within 7-14 business days from the date of purchase, depending on your location. If you have not received your order within 10 business days, please contact us at support@worldasteria.com with your full name, order ID, initial email confirmation, and order details. Once reviewed, we’ll promptly assess your order. If it was lost in transit, we’ll issue a replacement or refund at no additional cost.

We currently offer shipping to the United States, United Kingdom (UK), and Canada. Shipping to Europe is temporarily paused due to VAT and tariff issues, but we’re working to resolve that soon. Shipping to Asia and Oceania is available, though rates are significantly higher. At this time, we do not ship to the Middle East. The digital version, however, is available worldwide, as these restrictions apply only to physical orders.

Enjoy free shipping on all orders within the United States and United Kingdom. For Europe, there’s a flat $4.99 shipping fee, and for Canada, it’s $9.99. Shipping to Asia and Oceania typically costs $15.00 or more, as we don’t regularly ship to those regions—but if you are willing to pay the extra fee, we’re happy to arrange a special order.

Orders are shipped via Express Mail or delivered directly to your door, mailbox or parcel locker using FedEx Priority, UPS Ground, USPS Media Mail, or other major carriers depending on your region. For UK orders, we ship using Royal Mail 1st Class, Yodel, or DPD. All orders within the United States and United Kingdom include tracking. Packages are wrapped in protective newspaper to help safeguard your book during transit.

Tracking is included with most orders. All shipments within the United States and United Kingdom come with full tracking, and many regions in Europe and Canada also include tracking. Some regions in Canada don’t include tracking due to tariff restrictions. For orders without tracking, we’ll send you email or SMS updates once your package has shipped. You can always reach us at support@worldasteria.com if you’d like more details about your order.

For orders shipped to Asia and Oceania, tracking availability may vary depending on the destination. If your order does not arrive and tracking cannot be verified, you may be eligible for a refund or replacement following an internal review. If approved, a maximum of only one replacement will be issued.

Please confirm your shipping address via email to minimize the risk of delivery issues. (And if fate conspires to lose it again, maybe the universe just isn’t ready for you to receive this book yet.)

If you receive a damaged or defective book, please contact us at support@worldasteria.com within seven days of delivery. To help us resolve the issue quickly, include your name, order number, shipping address, date of purchase, date of delivery, and clear photos of both the damaged book and the packaging. Damage is defined as severely ripped pages, significant misprints on the cover or back (such as visible white overhang), a broken spine, or a cracked or warped cover. Normal signs of transit—like minor edge wear, small scuffs, or light corner dings do not qualify as damage. Once reviewed, we’ll issue a full refund or send a replacement at no additional cost.

You have 72 hours (3 days) from the time of purchase to cancel your order and request a refund. This policy applies exclusively to physical orders and remains valid only if the item has not entered a non-recallable shipping queue. We will notify you if your order is still eligible for recall.

Upon cancellation, a $9.99 digital refund fee will be deducted from your refund, resulting in a partial reimbursement of the original book price (e.g., $39.99 for hardcover edition minus the $9.99 fee). Please note that all standalone digital orders are non-refundable once purchased, under any circumstance. We encourage you to review your selection carefully before completing your order.

Refunds, Cancellations, and Modifications Policy:

Once a physical book has been delivered, we do not accept returns or exchanges, and refunds will not be issued for change-of-mind requests. In exceptional cases, we may consider an exception at our sole discretion. If you believe your situation qualifies, please contact us via email for review.

If your order has not yet shipped or entered the shipment queue, you have up to seventy-two (72) hours from the time of purchase to request a modification by contacting us at support@worldasteria.com. Within this window, you may upgrade your order (e.g., from softcover to hardcover) for an additional fee or add eligible value-added items such as enamel pins, bookmarks, or art prints, subject to availability. Downgrades are not permitted; however, you may cancel your order within the same seventy-two (72) hour period, provided it has not entered an irreversible shipment queue. We’ll inform you if a refund is still possible. Please note that requests made during the final hours of this window are less likely to be eligible for cancellation, so please email us at your earliest convenience. Refunds typically take three (3) to five (5) business days to be processed by your financial institution.

By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and agree that the digital version included with your order is non-refundable. In the event you cancel a physical book order after receiving access to the digital version, a non-refundable digital content fee of $9.99 will be deducted from your refund total. For example, if you cancel a hardcover order priced at $39.99, the resulting refund will be $30.00.

We may update this policy at any time. For full details, view our complete Returns Policy.

As digital laws continue to evolve each year, we remain committed to ensuring that anything you purchase, you own permanently. We do not track the files you download, nor can we revoke access to a digital product once it has been saved to your device. While we understand that it’s impossible to fully prevent sharing of the digital version, we kindly ask for your support in keeping things fair and respecting the work of the creators. Please limit any sharing to personal use or with close friends.

However, if we ever come across unauthorized large distribution, unauthorized public promotion, or instances of individuals claiming authorship of our work on websites or social media, we will pursue legal action to protect our intellectual property.

At the end of the day, we poured our hearts into creating this story, and your support means everything. So, please—enjoy it, recommend it, talk about it… just don’t toss up the entire book on social media platforms for the whole world to grab for free.

We welcome and encourage fan-made creations, including fan art and fan fiction. You are free to share your work on platforms such as Reddit, Instagram, Facebook, X.com, ArtStation, Pinterest, and similar sites. Commercial use or direct monetization is not permitted without prior written consent.
